Fun. Isn't it crazy how little light there is for photography in the forest? I really want to go backpacking in ONP some day. Maybe even winter... go do a winter ascent of that 7,000 ft volcano in the middle. I hear you need crampons but you can ski out and be back in the rainforest when you reach your car. Need at least 3 days in the woods to do it though.

Wow, that'd be fun. Re: the light, we were debating the Storm King hike and decided not to, and were very happy we hadn't later because we were on a totally flat trail near the road when it was getting dark, and we realized just how dark it was getting, and how early. We were happy not to be on a steep, slippery trail away from other people.
