John and a Trabant. These things were all over the place in Budapest. (For those of you unfamiliar with the Trabant, the car was built in the GDR during the cold war. It had plastic body panels, a 20 horsepower 2-stroke 2 cylinder motor, and had a top speed of about 60 km / hr. As one author of a Trabant enthusiast page put it, it was the epitome of socialism: bad, not capable of doing too many things, not too efficient but still manages to work somehow.)
