Riding the bus to Parque Nacional Torres Del Paine. This was our first major disaster on the trip. In our morning haste, Jay and I both forgot to get sufficient money to enter the park and embark on our four day hike. Luckily, an Australian woman who we had befriended in El Calafate happened to be on this same bus and she was kind enough to lend/give us about $40 USD. We really owed her one as there are no ATMs in the park, and we otherwise would have had to turn around, go back to town and wait another day to re-enter the park. And since our ferry was leaving in precisely four days, we would have had to scrap that itinerary all together.
