I bought some KSOs a few months ago. I wear them to the gym and running, totally worth $85. I only wish I'd had them for our trip last year.

Really?? Wow, I love my Five Fingers because I think they're fun and interesting to run in, but I think I am a slower runner, and my feet hurt more after a long run. Maybe that will change after more training. For hiking / off piste terrain, at least at this point, I would definitely want a thicker sole than the Five Fingers provide. That's awesome! You're tougher than me.
