Remember the Dodge Stealth that looked exactly like the Mitsubishi 3000GT? Or the Dodge Colt that seemed to be an exact copy of the Mitsubishi Mirage? Chrysler and Mitsubishi actually had a partnership for almost 25 years called Diamond-Star Motors (DSM) where they jointly manufactured cars (in Illinois?), but badged them individually. This looks to be about the right era... I'm guessing that's not the factory badging :) but perhaps some enthusiast owner was interested in playing up the connection to Mitsubishi by arguing more-or-less correctly he's actually driving a Mitsubishi, at least as much as he's driving a Dodge. Not sure about Chevrolet connection.
