As luck would have it, our flight path took us just south of Yosemite Valley, and since we were seated on the right of the aircraft, we were treated to a view of Yosemite from 20,000 ft (maybe 10,000 ft above much of the park). In the center is mighty Half Dome. Sadly as of March 1st, you now need a permit to hike Half Dome. Not sure if you need a permit to do a technical climb.
