After checking in to our hotel, we unpacked our bags, donned our ski/snowboarding wear, and trudged the 50 meters or so to the base of the Gondola and rode it straight to the summit... the "Top of the Sierra" as Mammoth calls it at over 11,000 ft. Getting out of the gondola and strapping our various ski planks to our feet, this was the view that greeted us. Pictured, Monica ponders the yonder.
