Hanauma Bay is a tourist disaster with an entry fee, a mandatory video, and a tram to carry people the two hundred yards between the parking lot and the beach. Still, I figured it had to be popular for a reason, and hoped it would be less disappointing than the virtual snorkeling available in the visitors' center.
