At one point, the funicular track goes across a bridge, so it is necessary to step from one railroad tie to the next, to avoid falling through. One guy I passed was crawling on all fours. If you are scared of heights, I could see how it could be unsettling, but at a walking pace it seemed perfectly safe. Crossing the bridge at a running pace seemed like a particularly bold move.
