Apartment houses built by LG. Everything, even - especially - apartments are branded with the names of giant Korean conglomerates: LG, Lotte, Hyundai, etc. Each brand has several models, like a Lotte Castle or Lotte Galaxy, or a Lotte Giant Castle. Each name implies a certain level of luxury and size and basically specifies everything about the place except the location. Presumably, once you´ve been to a Lotte Castle you know what they´re all like. While this was sort of weird or amusing for an American, the scary thing was the sheer number of these dotting the countryside as well as the city. Korea has about 50 million people but I swear I saw at least as many apartment units while traveling the country.
