On our first morning in Seoul, Monica and I were up super-early in the morning, and so we went in hunt of breakfast. Most places in Korea don't open for breakfast until at least 9, if they serve breakfast at all since usually breakfast is eaten at home. However, there were a number of tteok (pronounced sort of like "duck" but with more of a t and o sounds at the beginning) shops open. Tteok is a Korean rice cake that take endless variety in shapes and colors and fillings. They are also incredibly filling. We got one of these trays for about $3 and split it between the two of us.
