Almost at the end: the team floats down the river which is way more fun than walking. From here, we supposedly needed to find a trail on the right and follow it a quarter mile to the road. However, after leaving the watercourse multiple times only to bushwhack, we ended up staying in the watercourse all the way to the car. There were a few small diversion dams and some plastic piping but besides that it seemed just as easy as finding a trail. A little too late to get the advertised ice cream at the King's Canyon Lodge (sign: "Danger Ice Cream Ahead") we stripped off our sopping clothing, packed into the car and headed for points south: Seven Teacups, a short section of Dry Meadow Creek, part of the last mile of that creek before it feeds into the Kern River near Johnsondale, CA.
