At this point, when we went to pull our ropes, they got stuck. This can be a really dangerous situation, but in this case it was just annoying and time consuming. After verifying that the rope was really really stuck, I climbed up the small slide using the stuck rope to ascend. Then, Joel worked under the waterfall for probably at least 20 minutes attempting to free the stuck 100+ foot section of rope which had twisted itself countless times around branches and rocks under the falls.
