Joel on the first rappel. This canyon, while far from being the most spectacular or fun canyon we've run was a good place for beginners to get introduced to swift water canyons. There were only 4 rappels and none were even close to vertical. In fact they really didn't get much steeper than this. While the rock was really really polished and slippery and covered with fine dust and we were probably visiting the canyon under low water conditions, Joel and I wondered whether an advanced group could descend this canyon sans-rope.
