They sort of blend in in a lot of the photographs, but the most noticeable feature in the lake bed was these bone-white tree stumps which appeared by the thousands: bleached by 30 years of water and sun, having been uprooted in a sense as the dirt and rocks they used to cling to are long gone they were an eerie site not unlike tombstones in a cemetery.
