Ok, talk about ruining my wilderness experience. So on Wednesday morning I started hiking and could swear I smelled diesel smoke. I must have continued hiking for at least another hour before I came across this: a huge dam in the middle of a wilderness area. Worse, there seemed to be construction work underway, which looked like it might be maintenance or repair work.
