John, a mile or two up the Mountaineer's Route (Class 3) of Mt. Whitney. While there is a 10.5 mile "mule trail" that takes most tourists take to the top of Whitney, there is also a 4-mile much more direct route that is more suitable to climbers and others with mountaineering experience. At one point, you need to walk almost underneath this waterfall, which is refreshing when the weather is hot.
