Joel, having found the anchor for the next rappel waits to get a rope that will be usable for this rappel. At this point we had core-shot one of our ropes so only one was really usable for this rappel, which was well over 100 feet. With two working ropes, we had been able to increase our speed by "leapfrogging" our ropes sending one team ahead with the second rope to set up another rappel in tandem.
