This place called the West Point Inn, which is most of the way up Mt. Tamalpais with no paved roads leading to it does a once-a-month pancake breakfast. This means you, the diner, get to embark on a 45 minute to 2 hour (depending on the route you select) hike to your breakfast, and back again. It was a fun morning, though, as we later realized, this place pretty much has the Sunday-brunch-at-the-top-of-Mt.-Tam-with-a-view market cornered, and as such the food ended up being Costco bagged pancake mix fare. We vote for opening the mountain to more establishments to foster competition.
