Lone fisherman in the Lake of the Tonle Sap. This amazing lake quadruples in size during the rainy season, from an annual minimum of around 2500 square kilometers to nearly 10,000 square kilometers. During the dry season, it is only 1-2 meters deep throughout, and the 2 meter giant cat fish can be seen swimming about in clear water, with their dorsal fins occasionally rising out of the water not unlike a shark. The villagers tend to follow the fish and move their floating villages to lower/higher ground as need be.
