The hike in was amazing: the air was crisp and quite cold for the desert on a sunny day. Many wildflowers were in bloom: Monica and I spotted pink, blue, purple, white and red tiny flowers dotting the desert landscape... all with the high Colorado river plateaus as a backdrop.
