That's a neat one ... is this the season that they are traveling past HI, or do they 'live' there?

As I explained it, they, like us, want to live in Hawaii. But there's no food. The food is near Alaska. So, they swim down each year to mate and have babies (generally not the same year, or if the same year, not in that order). Once their babies are strong enough, they swim back home to eat again.
