Apparently horses won't cross the bridge, lovely as it may be. I was curious what the "horse ford" looked like, but the main trail turned left so we never learned.

So why won't horses cross the bridge? Sort of like a cattle guard effect where they are concerned about getting a hoof trapped in a crack?

Yeah, I don't think they do well with slippery logs tied together, with rails that would break under a 1500 lb force. Plus, of course, the rider would be above the rails (I supposed dismounting would be smart).
