My favorite part of the tide pools were the day-glow green sea anemones. If you stuck your finger in one, the surrounding tentacles would grab onto it momentarily, and after deciding that you are not food, let go. Also pictured are pink starfish and California mussels. If we had been here at a very low tide, we probably could have seen the sunflower sea star (24 legs) as well as chitons and nudibranches (sp?). Oh, well, something for next time.
