Two things of note: one, there were lots of cool (and generally brand new) bridges on the road to the observatory. Second, something funny was happening with the trees - I think because of the fir tips John mentioned. Or maybe something else. I don't think this picture shows it well, but the rows of trees were very weird to look at - almost fuzzy but very clear at the same time.
