  • Well, there are at least two types that I can distinguish. The "asparagus spears" that come out of an agave, then branch out, and flower on the branches. These are from a Queen Victoria agave, grow tall and get fuzzy, but no branches. OTOH, they don't kill the host, whereas the asparagus variety are the host agaves swan song
