So pretty. Makes me wonder why they don't/won't grow in AZ. Not cold enough for bulbs to 'winter over'? Wrong stuff in this so-called-soil?

Probably, but still makes me want to try. I think a raised planter? I'm thinking it's more likely the soil than the temps. Trouble with a planter, is I'd rather they were "naturalized" ... like just all over the place.

Yeah, a planter might work (though can you even buy real soil in AZ?). You might have to keep the planter inside the garage or something when they're not sprouted, to keep the soil from drying out and getting rock hard.
