Bundle of cable waiting to be installed. Each bundle is a different length and is individually numbered. The bundles that are installed first are generally speaking shorter since they have a shorter distance to travel being on the "inside track" so to speak.

Interesting! How much difference in length? How accurate is the length? They do it to save cutting to size upon assembly?

The ends of the cables are big plugs and are cast to the end of the cable at the factory in China... not sure if it would be possible to cut or shorten cables on site. Catherine has a photo of the "traveler" sheet for one of the cables. Not sure if it specifies a length or tolerance. At the very least the attachment points are threaded so one could hope there is the ability to do at least a little fine-tuning.
