The echo ridge is a very unusual rock formation. Matthes Crest in particular looks like something out of a Doctor Seuss book. I'd like to go climb it some day. Here is an interesting photo:

Yeah, it's considered a technically "easy" rock climb and some choose to do it sans-rope. Obviously big penalty points for a mistake.
