On Sunday morning Monica and I headed over to Manure Pile Buttress, named because back in the day the park staff would truck all the horse crap out to this non-descript rock near El Capitan, far from tourists' noses. Today it's home to a few famous climbs including Nutcracker, which was originally led using only nuts (stoppers), and the horse poop is put elsewhere.
