Margaret - when you're a newb, you have to be reminded to take time. As you get experienced, you sometimes have to be reminded to spend less time enjoying the view and more time moving downriver :) Our rappel devices allow one-handed "locking off" so you can throw a loop of rope on the device and then let go, look around, take pictures, etc.
