  • This hallway "floats". It can flex several feet using 52 very large shock absorbers - in the event that Russia hit the area with their own missile or our missile were to explode on launch. All critical components - including the missile - were spring mounted. The missile had 4 springs 30 ft high which were detached upon launch prep.
