John on the ski out. This was a bit unfair as the grade wasn't steep enough for any of the snowboarders to keep momentum, and in any case they tend to whine about having to hold an edge for a long time. So, I got to ski, and they had to trudge back downhill, snowboards on pack.

Aw, a splitboard wouldn't help much here. Or at least, to use it means leaning waaaaay back on the downhills. I remember falling forward onto my knees resulting in much pain.
