The road switchbacks up the mountainside endlessly, so it's often quicker to just short-cut the switchbacks or even cut off whole sections of the highway. Here, we caught up with the two mountaineers who had been blazing a trail into the park. Best we can tell, we were the first people into the park from the south entrance since the storm.
