Chocolate pecan caramel cookies. I was really excited about these, and happy they came out so well. The recipe book said to use store-bought bagged caramels; I wish I'd figured out how to make caramel (is that at all easy?) or at least bought higher-quality caramels, cause I think the cookie would have been much better with a better caramel flavor.
