On Sunday since we had no power, my manager and coworker rented a conference room on the 19th floor of our hotel, separated by glass doors from a swank cigar bar called "Cigar Cheers". Our conference room had an adjoining roof deck, and this is the view from it, of the massive Olympic Sports Center Stadium which according to Wikipedia seats 60,000 people.

  • Was that sports center used for the Olympics at all? Or for training? Or why was it built?

  • Why was it built? For soccer I think. Was it used for Olympics? So far as far as I know there have never been Olympic games in Hefei. But just in case the Olympics one day make it to Hefei, they're ready.

  • I know the Olympics haven't officially been in Hefei, but I know a lot of the Beijing events were held in remote places. I thought it was possible something had happened there.

  • Maybe! Wikipedia doesn't know much.
