For Labor Day Weekend 2010, Joel, Monica, Yang, Vinnie and I set out to canyoneer a remote river in the Plumas National Forest: the South Branch of the Feather River, which eventually feeds into Oroville Reservoir. This is an area of California that was at the heart of the Gold Rush, and is only a few hours from the Bay Area, however none of us had ever been here before.
