When we woke up in the morning, we had to eat a very quick breakfast, pack and then we were at the port. Jay and I (or maybe more just me) were very interested to hit the ground with our feet running since we really only had about 12 hours budgeted to explore the area around Puerto Montt. The town itself is just an industrial port town, but in the surrounding area are charming 19th century German towns (hopefully not 20th century Nazi type towns) as well as 5,000 meter volcanoes and lakes. Pictured is another of one of the three ships Navimag sails. I think this one is called the Puerto Eden, named after that tiny indigenous town where I saw the dolphins.
