Concrete floor in the "less impact house" www.lessimpacthouse.com visited on the Solar Energy House tour. Concrete floor was poured, a "looser concrete" with more aggregate poured on top. It was allowed to harden and then ground down to reveal more aggregate, and then sealed. Effect is like a terrazzo floor at significant less expense. Make sense?
