The next morning we woke up early (some of us, anyway) to see the 100m ship pass through a straight only 80m wide (I'm guessing our beam was 40m). Since the straight connects two significant bodies of water that experience tides, the current was very strong. I believe we were sailing with the current. In any case, the captain did a good job threading the needle - we pretty much went straight down the center.
