On the way back to Quepos we decided to stop off at this hilltop bar partially constructed from a Fairchild C-123, the twin sister of the plane shot down in southern Nicaragua by the Sandista Army and piloted by CIA agent Eugene Hasenfus, thus setting in motion a number of events that eventually exposed the Iran-Contra affair.
