Apparently Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) has gotten annoyed with canyoneers, and have begun posting signs like this one, located on a rock in front of where we would eventually exit the river. Mom - don't worry too hard; while this is technically true, John did his homework and talked to a SoCal Edison employee about water flow levels and the possibility of a higher flow over the weekend (e.g., as would come from a (generally scheduled) release at the dam).

  • This message is mostly relevant in the springtime when the dams above can't handle the snow melt. In August, not so much. A SoCal Edison employee I talked to on the phone said the flow should be roughly 2-3 cfs (cubic feet per second).
