Sorting our gear, resting and snacking in the glorious Neon Cathedral. We rappelled through one of the holes in the ceiling of the Cathedral. A dramatic end to a beautiful canyon!

Any day hikers there to watch you descend? That place looks spectacular. Any pure scenery shots of it? Here's almost the exact spot: http://www.americansouthwest.net/slot_canyons/neon_canyon/neon1_l.html

Nope! We got there rather late in the day, and this cathedral is probably a 5+ hour hike in from any nearby road. In fact on the morning we left, we met an older couple coming up the trail who had spent the night out unplanned as it got dark while they were hiking back and they decided to bed down for the night rather than risk getting hurt and/or lost in the dark. We camped about a half mile downstream from here.
