This was a stair way that climbed 300 feet. The guide said it wasn't bad going up, but down was truly scary. It's blocked off to tourists.

  • These stairs go straight up - no landings or turns. I could not see the end. The next pic shows the lower half of the staircase. The shaft goes from the top to the bottom and leads to the seepage tank. They measure the amount of seepage, and if it is excessive, they have to go find the cause.
