Interesting! When we were there a month ago, two out of the three of these gates were open, creating a thunderous waterfall below. Funny that even with all 3 sluices closed there is still a significant river leaking past them.

Also a good datapoint as that probably means canyoneering on this river (many, many miles downstream) should start to be feasible for the season.
