I saw some medium sized paw prints that crossed the gulley on the way back down and remember wondering if there could be cougars in the area. What a cool valley. It was a rain forest, alpine meadow, glaciers, raging cascades, scree fields, and huge peaks all in one. I think I had sensory overload throughout this whole hike.
