It was definitely windy, especially toward the top as the afternoon wore on. Maybe 10-15 mph winds. The temperature was quite nice in the sun, considering we're at about 8,000 feet elevation in the summer. Maybe 60 or 70. But since the going is slow and there tends to be a lot of sitting still and holding a rope (belaying) it's usually more comfortable to be wearing a windbreaker and some thermal clothes, which becomes especially important if it were to start raining on us, in which case retreat might take considerable time, without much active movement to keep us warm.
